Reply from Amanda, Age 19 - 02/18/08 - IP#: 63.135.14.xxx actually, if you eat the same amount of calories everyday your body is going to get too used to it and eventually you wont lose anymore weight. our bodies crave equilibrium. one day you could eat 1800 calories, then the next 1400. thats called calorie shifting. it works
Reply from Taylor, Age 14 - 02/18/08 - IP#: 75.66.43.xxx It's better to keep it consistent. Because if on one day you eat too little, your metabolism is going to slow down. It's you body's natural reaction to "starvation" so when you eat to little you go into "starvation mode". But if you go back and you overeat the next day, it's going to store most of what you eat as fat, because it's getting ready for the next time it goes into "starvation mode".
