From rach, Age 14 - 04/22/08 - IP#: 71.55.152.xxx Click here to reply Ht. 5'4", Start: 146 lb, Today: 145 lb, Goal: 113 lb - i gotta serious problem. i know HOW to lose weight. i really WANT to. i jsut cant KEEP myself on the same routine for a long time.& my paretns do NOT eat healthy what so ever!! &i htink exercising is boriong. i'd rather just goof off and hang out with my bff. i really dont look like i weigh that much( 145) i still have fat though. & my sister is getting MARRIED and GRADUATING from high school in the sameyear ( couple months of with each other.) and she's thin and smart and pretty.. its just a lot of pressure. i want to get healthier and im goign to high school next year.. its just really frusterating and idk what to DO!!
Reply from *Sarah*, Age 15 - 04/23/08 - IP#: 67.163.196.xxx its really hard to get motivated, but when it comes down to it, you can only motivate yourself. from my experience, at least, no one else is really going to motivate you. i tried here and there to stick to a routine but never really succeeded. now, ive finally been motivated enough to stick to a certain routine for about a month, which involves very mindful eating and 20-30 minutes of jogging EVERY day. yeah, jogging sucks, but i dont want to be looking fat on the beach and saying, shoot if only i jogged for a half hour a day back in spring. i mean, its really worth it, so just DO it. as soon as you get home from school just go DO it, no questions asked. good luck, hope to hear how your progress goes.
