Ht. 5'4", Start: 210 lb, Today: 176 lb, Goal: 140 lb - Has anyone ever done the Special K challenge thing? if so...does it work? and do I have to eat that Special K cereal or can I substiute that for like... Cheerios? lol which are also really healthy and taste great and help lower cholesterol and stuff. Let me know! good luck, all :)

Hey Claire! Personally I love the Diet for Teenagers Only (a super-great book) becuase I think structured diets would drive me crazy. Or read French Women Don't Get Fat, another "diet" that's really a very enjoyable lifestyle change. :) Sorry I can't help you with cereal choices, but if you have a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods near you then they have really yummy and healthy cereal there.

I think the Special K diet is more about reducing the number of calories you eat over a short period of time so I'd assume any lowfat cereal like Cheerios would do. The only issue is it's not always that great to cut down your calories for a long period of time because it can reduce your metabolism which is never good! Good luck!
