So- i have lost 11lbs so far, just by sticking in between 1000-1800 calories and switching it up a lot and exersizing a lot. i really want to be able to jog a mike straight so i've been using my ipod nano and shoe chip to track my progress- i still walk more than i jog, and i can only jog for like one minute straight.lol. it's pretty bad, but i know i just have to stick with it. my new diet plan is to try and avoid sweets for a bit, and trick my metabolism by a 800-1000-1200-1500 calorie diet, so each day i'm getting a diff. amount of calories, but if you average it out throughout the week i'll be getting like 1300 cals/day, except my body won't get used to that amount because i'll be switching it up so much. my diet consists of a lot of low fat, high fiber foods, so hopefully i'll lose quicker. i want to be 195 soon! at 195 i'll reward myself by getting another piercing...yay.

Reply from Sammi, Age 16 - 06/20/08 - IP#: 69.123.117.xxx Hey girl, keep it up!! I don't know if you know the show The Biggest Loser, but I met Jillian Michaels, one of the trainers from the show, and she gave me her email address and she's taught me SO much about living a healthy lifestyle so if you have any questions, i'll more than likely be able to answer them=) As for switching up the calories, on the days you ARE working out, keep the calories at 1500, and on the days you DON'T work out, keep them at around 1200. If you hit a plateau, which 99% of girls do at one point or another, increase your calories by 10%. I know that sounds crazy, and when Jillian told me that, I was like, "What?!" but she said that when you plateau, your body is going into "I have to save fat" mode, because you're losing weight and your body isn't used to it, so your metabolism slows down from lack of calories, so if you plateau, take a high calorie day or two and put your calories at 2000, and then go back to whatever your calories were before you increased them, and you'll start losing again. Hope I helped=)
Reply from Motivated, Age 19 - 06/20/08 - IP#: 71.192.26.xxx make that about 1200 cals, a little less, but i usually nibble throughout the day on stuff i shouldn't, so it'll prob. ave. out more towards the 1300 cal. mark.
