Ht. 5'4", Start: 210 lb, Today: 176 lb, Goal: 140 lb - Hey girlies. Question: Is it pointless to weigh yourself when you're on your *thing*? because I heard you carry extra water weight or something during it. I don't know, let me know! hope you all are doing awesome~=)

yea its true...but i havnt had mine for over a year! i hd it pretty regular before and i know i gained a good 5 pounds...i have amenorhea now...idk if its from my weight or something else...

on mine, i go up anywhere from 3-8 pounds which can be quite discouraging so i try to avoid the scale altogether and drink lots of fluids so i dont retain any more.

you do carry weight and gain sometimes you dont...it's really upto you... i weight myself once a week ever week no matter wat...it's a good idea so you know about how much water weight you gain and it's also a bad idea causeyou might thing you gained weight this ones on you

I would definitely wait until after your period's over. Me personally, I gain anywhere from 1-5 pounds when i'm on my period, but my doctor told me that girls can even gain up to 10 pounds when they're on their periods! It sucks, but make sure when you're on your period, to drink at least 60 ounces of water to prevent water retention.

Hey Claire, thanks for your support! I'm pretty sure that it's pointless becuase yes you do retain fluids and it can freak you out to see the scale during that. You may mysterious go up 3 lbs and get yourself into a fit for no reason. :-) Just wait a day or so after you're SURE you're done with your *thing* and then weigh in.
