Ht. 5'10", Start: 230 lb, Today: 197 lb, Goal: 175 lb - Hey evrybody. Last summer, I was about ,oh, say, 150, 140-ish;however, once school came about, I started to(rather rapidly)put on wieght.I never really noticed, nor did anyone else(to my knowlage). However, as the school year came closer to exam review-mid January-, I started to notice thet, for one, I could't easily see my feet, my clothes were tighter, ect.I had a ohysical ex. coming up oon for my summer job, so I bet myselm "oh, nothing over 180". When the nurse said 230( 36 pounds of muscle, 94 in fat!!), I was DEVASTATED!!! I took a test to determine my B.M.I at home; my results stated that I was at the 28.3 percent, so hy, whadduya know.I was obese.:( I had a few reasons(or excuses):One, we move little in school, with only a 30 minute gym class and lunch where buying doubles is commen, plus, we eat very high calorie foods and snacks in school. I also am an active guy: i swim, bike to a store for chips and pizza....walk for a mile with 20 bucks to MC Donalds.Yeah, that explains it:I execise, but i eat alot afterwords, so its a step backwards on my part. Most of my friends are pretty heavy, but they don't care.I, however, want to take my shirtoff while I swim, so,i began exercising. After about a week, i had lost four pounds of fat, gained 3 in muscle, and then put 12 pounds of fat back on.A few friends of mine, a few girls and guys, all friends or aquentances,in my town, are close to my wieght, and we've talked about the problems. However, come the holidays, like christmas, they come back(using 1 as an example)20 pounsd heavier.Nevertheless, they, nor nobody else in my predicament seem to care when they gain wieght often, slurge often, complain about thier wieght, and repeat.3 weeks ago, I had a "post-school" physical; as it turns out, I have but 48 pounds of muscle and 62 pounds of fat. I was happy, cus that was better than my last physical.I am now about 195 pounds, but I am worried about things like"will I splurge on the 4th?", or "Will the girls who like me, and I in return, care if I look heavy in a swimsuit?".If anyone is willing to help, please do so.

Trevor, honestly, if you are worried about what girls will think of your body, you should continue to pursue your weight loss goals. Your body is yours for life and you don't want to miss out because of your body. If you don't like it, fix it. As soon as you get out of you own way with your mind, and partially your body, you will be free of those barriers and live YOUR life.

considering the amount of wieght you lost and the muscle you gained ..the girls would be stupid to care if you looked heavy in a swimsuit .. which im sure you dont=D

hey, first of all i know how you feel about worrying about holidays and splurging. honestly, what i do is i reallllly watch myself for a few days before, let myself eat what i want that day, then go right back to watching again afterwards. that little bit of treating yourself won't add up, unless you consume a ton of food lol i think you'll do just fine. just keep your eyes on the prize and know that if you want something badly enough you can pull through anything. good luck, i know you can do it
