From daisy, Age 18 - 08/12/08 - IP#: 76.168.155.xxx Click here to reply Ht. 5'0", Start: 140 lb, Today: 140 lb, Goal: 100 lb - hello im new here my rents are very thin my dad weighs 115 an my mom weighs 100 i used to weigh 100pnds a month ago and i recently put on a few pounds (40!) i dont even really know how it happend but my parents are mortified i used to wear a size 0 but i cant button my pants so now i wear sweats all the time. so heres the thing with me i was always very thin totally flat and i wanted to gain a few pounds so i could have curves that went a bit ascue and i gained 30 pounds and ppl who went away for summer came back today and were like what have you done! no lie my so called bestie and i hung out today and i went to go get tripple scoop ice cream and cake and while i was eating my gut was showin a bit and she grabed it and was told me if i didnt loes some weight we cant hang out and now my bf want me to go on a diet, but the thing is i cant stop eating can i get some advice?

And are you doing this for them or for you? Because if you're doing it just to make sure they stick around, it will never work. You need to decide for yourself, not let your so called "friends" threaten you into doing something you don't want to do.

Spending 100 calories on soda is a waste; wouldn't you rather chew 100 worth of food? So that's the first thing to go. Drink a lot of water instead...like 6-8 glasses of chilled water or unsweetened iced tea. Regular tea is also great for weight loss one cup a day; try to steer clear of coffee for a bit. Next, start adding fruit into your diet. A fruit at breakfast, one as a snack, and one with lunch is great. Slowly also add veggies into your diet, at least 2 servings a day. Now start switching any white rice, white bread, regular pasta or any other white wheat products to whole grain/whole wheat products. Don't forget to have some dairy! Or soy if you can't have dairy. Drink fat free or 1% milk, plus either some low-fat cheese,a low-fat yogurt, or low-fat pudding. Last but not least have see food or lean meat once or twice a week, and throw in some good fast such as olive oil and a handful of nuts. Don't forget to treat yourself of you'll go insane! My doc told me having dessert 2x a week is good. As for exercise slowly start by walking outside for half an hour; it doesn't have to be non-stop. You can walk 10 min, stop, walk another 10, stop, and walk another 10. Work your way up to jogging or get some exercise DVDs. You should have some cardio and strength training combo. Yoga and Pilates are good,a nd so is swimming and tennis. :) So best wishes, I'm sure you'll be 100 lbs again in no time! If you need help send me a shout-out on this message board.
