Ht. 5'8", Start: 250 lb, Today: 236 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 195 lb - ssssoooooo, i need help.
Or advice, rather.
15 minutes of work out 5 nights a week.. good or not enough?
some days it's more aswell, last week i did 45 minutes one night.
I wasn't supposed to weigh myself until next saturday but my mom talked me into doing it, not thinking haha.. and now i can't get it off my mind.
I worked hard last week, well, i guess i could have worked harder , but i'm giving it to myself that i did a good job, better than when i started.
and the scale today shows i gained like 5 pounds.
Is it possible after eating and drinking today i could weigh more than 5 pounds than what i actually weigh?
I know not 10 pounds or anything but i drank like 4 big glasses of water and i had supper.
It's so distracting!!!
should i lower 8 big glasses of water a day to like, 5?
would it make a difference?
thank you!

haha thanks,
i've been doing 50- 60 minutes of excersise some nights. i'm starting a new plan which includes more than 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week or more if i can.
with 7 big glasses of water a day, or aswell, more if i can.
i really want to lose 40 pounds by april, i just don't know if that's too big of a goal for me.
so far i lost 17 pounds in about 2 months.
but i know it will slow down after a while.
thanks for the advice!

If you are overweight, then waterweight isn't going to count for much if you are, as you suggest, keeping to an active excercise routine.
You should excercise until you are physically tired. You should stress your body a little.
I honestly think 15 minutes isn't quite enough, 30 - 60 minutes would be a little more 'round' of a number... but I suppose it could be a goal?
Water weight can often count for a large portion of your body weight... but, again, if you are doing the job right the fat loss will far exceed whatever water weight stays on the charts.
PLUS, water weight is GOOD, it shows you're keeping your fluids up which is SO important. Flushing out toxins and keeping you running so that you can get more from whatever excercise it is you're doing.
I'm not overweight - I go to the gym a lot, and I take the odd supplement that promotes water retention in your muscles for added power - That water retention puts my weight up a few pounds, though I know my real weight is about 140 LB or so - I recognize the added weight as a good thing, because I'll be able to see and feel myself - whether or not I am infact more toned and lean than perhaps before.
Anyway, don't lower your water intake - You want to be healthy, so keep it up. Just have a big piss beforehand if it's the numbers you live by :P

dont weigh yourself at night stupid lol why would u listen to mom. anyways no it wouldnt make a difference, more water is better for you anyways. just weight yourself when u first wake up before drinking or eating anything. you wouldnt weigh yourself with a lunchbag in your hands, so why would u weigh urself after eating? think about it knuck
