Ht. 5'3.5", Start: 145 lb, Today: 145 lb (BMI %tile: 88), Goal: 130 lb - okay, so i'm not exactly "fat" just not really in shape right now i guess. i'm built not small, but not really big either. i look like 140 probably. for my 16th bday (may 4th) i'm joining anytime fitness ( you have to be 16 to get a key). i would like to be 130-ish around end of august, or sooner. i would just like to get in shape (family history of diabetes) more. how many times per week should i go to anytime fitness? or what would be ideal? and could i be 130-ish sooner then August? thanks :)

A) I think that you ought to visit the gym at least 3 times a week but allow yourself a day of rest each week. (Sat. or Sun. would probably be best...)
B) I think that if you started now and lost an average of about a pound a week (you'd have to burn more than you eat. Cut 250 calories from your diet + burn 250, or burn 500 a day, or cut 500 a day) than you will be at your goal weight by, like, the third week of JUNE! But, were you to eat real well and exercise, you could lose up to 2 POUNDS of weight a week. In which case, you could be done by the second week of MAY.
