It might be water weight, but, whatever, it's weight, right? I'm going swimming today...and I found a bathing suit that makes me look 20 POUNDS THINNER! Seriously, no joke. :-) B) My mom says that since I've gotten a lot taller from when I started, I would be way too skinny at 130. I tried to say that I wouldn't because I started at 140 and wasn't skinny but then she brought up the height thing. Do you think she's right? I'm changing my goal weight to 140. I'll change it again if I don't look the way I would like. P.S. My short-term goal (for now) is 15 pounds by June 24. I've lost 7 already!
Reply from DancingDamsel, Age 13 - 04/20/09 - IP#: 65.11.98.xxx My plan is the following: I keep a food diary where I write down what I eat, the calories, my mood, notes, and the total. I have a calorie limit (1400 for me). Mon-Fri I walk every day for about 50 minutes at a brisk pace. On Saturdays, I have a dance class. And on Sundays, I rest. I lose an average of 1-2 pounds a week. You may be eating too much. To lose weight, you've got to burn more calories than you eat. You must burn 3500 calories to lose a pound. So, burn 500 calories a day or cut 250 while burning 250, or, simply cut 500 calories from your diet. GOOD LUCK! Also, strength training boosts your metabolism so you burn more calories naturally! Remember to take your viatmins.
