Reply from Kristen, Age 18 - 02/09/11 - IP#: 76.170.187.xxx When you feel a binge coming on.. try counting to 10 slowly and realizing why you're eating. Are you physically hungry? When was the last time you ate? Many times it can be overwhelming when we feel powerless to our urges but I've found it helpful to keep myself busy. Boredom, Restlessness, Depression, Joy can all be reasons why you eat but it's important to remember that YOU do have control. Remind yourself why you don't want to eat, you want to look trimmer in clothes, feel healthier, be able to run easier. Once you acknowledge the reasons behind your "hunger" you can overpower them. I believe in you! PLUS avoid trigger foods. Salt, caffeine, sugar, high fat can lead to an all night binge. I tell myself, "would I want to eat a carrot?" If the answer is no, then I shouldn't be eating that cupcake either. GoodLUCK! (: Be strong
