Ht. 5'3", Start: 203 lb, Today: 199 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 140 lb - Hi everyone. I'm knew to this but I read some bulletins and I just wanted to share. So yesterday my whole family and I started our new diet. Well, it's not really a diet, we're just trying to be more healthy. So far I've done pretty well. We all drink 3 bottles of water a day. We also have structured dinners together, which usually consist of some kind of meat, a vegetable, and some other random (healthy) thing. Also, I jog on the treadmill for 20 minutes. It's so hard though!! There's so many temptations at school and when all of my friends are eating cookies and other sweets right in front of me, I could just cry. Does anyone have advice on how to resist the temptation?

Hey Selena, I am new at this website too and i know exactly what you are going through i go through it everyday too. My main problem is doing exercise. But, instead of watching your friends eat cookies and unhealthy foods why not try eating some healthy snack so you don't feel left out and you are still eating healthy (this is what i do when i am with my friends).

Bring tic tacks or sour mints, tell them that you have an issue with your frineds eating junk food around you,bring healthy snacks like celry,apples,carrots,pears,oranges,banaanas or snack bars that 90 calories,you can do it! Selena! you lost 4 pounds keep going with the weight loss! Happy New Year!
