hi all
i am 13, 5'6" and 135 lb, which is only 1 lb. under the overweight line I have a very fat stomach that folds over when i sit and big thighs. all my friends are like 110 and think 135 is super fat because they have no fat on them so i am the only kid with extra fat. They are all thinner than me and i can never borrow pants or anything cuz i wont fit! it is hard for me to lose this fat but i want to and need help.

Just so you know the average weight for a girl tat is 5'6'' is anywhere from 120-160. I am 5'6'' and I am just under 155. I wear like a size five. You can't compare yourself to your friends because they have a different bone structure and maybe you have more muscle than them

hi, dont feel bad about your weight. i read a article that says you got a long way from being over weight. you dont just go by height and weight its also bone stucture.i'm 5'6" and weigh 143lb wich is my healthiest weight.some girls are meant to be curvy.i use to be kinda plump till i turned 15 and started weight training. then it went to all the right places (36-24-36).besides all the guys i know (including my boyfriend)like a girl with a figure.if any boys are making fun of you,thats just because they havnt evoled yet.just please whatever you do.DONT DIET.its the fastest way to get bigger.lov ya,take care

Hey! I know your down but dont be! Dont let nebody make u feel bad about yourself! If u want to b healthier then just get involved in more after-school programs like tennis basketball dance gymnastics or if ur not the sporty type, try arobics at home or at ur local fittness gym. Swimming and jogging are GREAT wayz 2 get in shape! Whatever u do DONT go on an extreme diet! If u do your body will take this as a sign that ur starving urself and then when u get off ur diet your body will autimatically hold on 2 the fatty foods that u put into it and u will actually start to gain weight- and tis time it will b harder to get rid of it. Then again I'm not saying to totally pig out 24-7. Just try to reach for the apple instead of the chocolate cake if u want a snack! Well thats all I can give u! Good luck and stay strong!

If you are 5'6" and 135 lb, I wouldn't worry about looking fat! Exercise can help you feel your best, but I weigh the same as you and I'm 5'3". I know I'm not fat! Ignore your obsessed "friends."

It's not you that doesn't fit, it's the clothes!!! But if you really want help, try "Jump" magazine. In every issue they have a section on exercise and fitness. I'm using it now, and I'm actually sticking with the exercises! Just remember: GOD LOVES YOU!!!!
