What would be classed as an envious weight, like that all the guys go for girls that weigh this and can fit all the gorgeous clothes? Coz over here in Australia the ideal weight, that girls want to be and all the guys want, for a thirteen/fourteen year old is between 40-50 kgs, and i think, that a kilo is equal to two pounds. I weigh 57 kgs, so that is about 114 pounds. Over here that's not obesely fat, but i still cant fit into the little clothes that all the skinny girls wear
Reply from helper, Age 13 - 01/27/02 - IP#: 203.23.155.xxx im sorry i cant be a super help, but have you put your junk food up high or in a weird/odd/different place, that would make u think about why your eating. eg, if u put your food up 7' high, and yur only 5'5, you have to get a ladder to get your junk, yul think"i cant b bothered, oh look at that juciy apple"(mabye a shade 2 hopeful), or" do i really want it, i could have that nice red apple"( note, i liike apples) this trick has prevented me from eating crap infront of tv for a year. instead i just have that easy to reach apple, rather than the chocolate on top of my mum/mom's cupboard. think about it, and dont lose hope. good luck, and be happy and proud!
Reply from Meg, Age 14 - 01/26/02 - IP#: 205.188.195.xxx Carrie, i do have some suggestions, but the most important thing you need to do is not give up. Sticking to a diet is the harest part. If you come home from school and the first thing you do is go to the pantry (i do it all the time) try to get out of this habbit. Instead get a glass of water and think of something better for yourself to do instead of eating. Make a goal to get all your homework done before you have a snack. Its ok to still have the same quantity of food at diner if your hungry, but you should stick to the portion given to you and drink lots of water. Try eating more fruits and vegetables and less carbohydrates. However dont cut back on carbs completelt because your body needs them to stay healthy. Once you get in the routine of eating differently it becomes alot easier. You can then think about exersizing or taking walks each day. Give it a try, good luck! email me Soccermeg01@hotmail.com
Reply from Rudi, Age 15 - 01/26/02 - IP#: 208.37.196.xxx Don't diet, it's bad for your health and after you're off the diet, you'll just gain the weight back. Start off slowly, like eating healthy foods instead of junk. I reccomend cherries and grapes, since they're really sweet and give you lots of energy. That and spitting out the pits is fun :) Go down a little on your intake of food by distracting yourself when you're hungry. DON'T watch beauty shows or anything with fashion, it will only make you feel bad. Watch cartoons or comedy instead, something that will make you laugh or get caught up in the action. Another good tip would be to not put butter on things, and substitute it for other flavorings, like garlic and olive oil. Hope that helps.
