Hi i am 5'2" and weigh between 140 - 145 and wanna lose 20 to 25 pounds. i want to lose atleast 2 pounds a week, so that it will last for 10 weeks (hopefully). If you have any tips for me. I have another question since it takes more calories to digest celery (celery = 5 calories added digest = 100 calories used)if i took in 1500 calories in one day then i ate 20+ things of celery would i lose weight? or if all i ate was celery would it work better? ( i know i have stupid questions)Would trying to lose 4lbs - 5lbs a week be unhealthy? - Jamie

Celery is a great food to eat as a snack! So whenever you have cravings, try to eat that instead! It is also a great addition to any meal. My brother is a nutritionist and recently I have been trying to eat only veggies and fruit. He got really mad at me and told me that there was no way I would lose weight if I ate food from only one food group. The key to losing weight is to eat sensible foods. So eating 1500 calories a day would be a good plan! You might end up losing more than 2 pounds week, but its always good to set your goals at a little below average.
