O.k hear me out I am a 5'6 1/2 female that weights 150lbs. All I want to lose is about 10-15lbs. by the time I get back to school. While in school I was always considered "big", or giraffe and I know that people my age are cruel about things like this, but I decided that I needed to lose weight over the summer. I know that there are people a lot worse off then I am but just to get down to at least a size 8 would satisfy me. What i am trying to ask is if there is anyone out there who had fitness tips that don't include not eating bread because i have been doing that and it isn't working and yes i am exercising but that doesn't help what I am eating. If anyone has good recipes for a girl like me that actually works. Also don't put something like eat only ice or don't eat at all because i am not into that type of stuff. I forgot to mention that I have been exericising for the past 3 weeks and all ready have lost 10lbs. since then. I have told and asked you everything for know thanks to everone who replys. BYE
Reply from Rachel, Age 16 - 07/03/02 - IP#: 216.154.11.xxx losing 10 pounds in 3 weeks is not really a good idea. i heard that u shouldn't lose more than 2 pounds a week. if u lose more than that, that means u r also losing muscle which helps u to burn more calories throughout the day. u should eat properly breakfast. for lunch and dinner, eat whatever your family eats but a bit less. for snack, eat a piece of fruit or veggie. if u miss eating ur fav junk food, then just eat it once or twice a week so u r not depriving urself from any food. as for exercise, 30 minutes of aerobic exercise for 4 to 5 times is enough. if u can do 45 minutes, that's better but don't overdo it. u should also lift weight to develop muscle. hope i helped! bye
Reply from chloe, Age 13 - 07/02/02 - IP#: 207.50.85.xxx OH MY GOSH!!! 10 pounds?! 3 weeks?! wow!!!be proud of yourself!!!sorry i dont have any tips im looking for some myself, but always remember its not what you eat its how much. think of food as car gas. its fuel for your body and if you put too much gas in a ar it gets flooded. way to go though!!!
