Reply from Georgina, Age 14 - 02/22/03 - IP#: 195.93.50.xxx It sounds like ur friends are not real friends if they are so mean to you! Are you a member of any clubs or activities? They can be a good way to make new and genuine friends who have lots in common with you and would accept you for who you are. If it was a sport cub like swimming or anything active it would also help you to lose weight. I would like to help you if I can cos you seem like such a nice and thoughtful and intelligent person!! I remember you wrote that lovely poem which i showed to my auntie and she said it's like a real talent!!! How tall are you and how much do you weigh? And how much do you want to lose? You also need tpo think about exactly what changes you need to make for it to become easier to lose weight (like more active, change eating, eat less or whatever). Good luck! Georgina
Reply from Liz, Age 18 - 02/22/03 - IP#: 144.136.144.xxx I know it can be hard growing up. Kids are really cruel, especially when your just finding your identity. Remember that you are only 13! I know you think that things will never get better, but they will. People mature and become much more accepting as you get older. And all that bull in school, like whos popular, whos the skinniest etc. it means absolutely nothing. When you leave school none of that matters. People accept you for who you are. Don't let things get to you. Also, about losing weight, the way I did it was calorie counting. If you stick to 1200 - 1500 you will surely lose weight. Hope this helps!
