Wow, ok. This is the second time I've been to this board, but I've never posted before. A lot of you have some really strange/incorrect (and unhealthy) ideas about dieting. If anyone wants to talk, I'd love to help you out - just AIM me (s/n starveforsalud) or email me (playingwithsquirrels@hotmail.com) and I'd love to help you lose weight and get more in shape the HEALTHY way that won't screw up your body for the rest of your life. Good luck everybody.

Reply from Amber to ???, Age 17 - 06/19/03 - IP#: 4.3.132.xxx What is your problem? James is just trying to help us. James gives REAL advice and even set up a way for me (and him) to track my progress. All you (and mostly everyone else on this board) told me is how to be anorexic!!! Have you even tried talking to James before you got all defensive?
Reply from manda, Age 15 - 06/19/03 - IP#: 172.165.96.xxx Um, actually I agree with James. There are some people giving good advice, and others who benefit from it, but some of the "miracle diets" discussed on the board aren't healthy. 3 day diets, soup diets, etc... things that sound too good to be true usually aren't very healthy, plus you mostly lose water weight. I go by a weight watcher calculator that tells me how many "points" each food item is, which helps me not to over eat. I recommend a program like that which has a healthy setting. Too good to be true diets usually are too good to be true. However there are a lot of good advice here, we just need to be able to recognize the good from the bad. I don't think you guys should gang up on James! :-( But I suppose it's okay for ya'll to uhm, like this board a lot. ;-)
Reply from henry, Age 14 - 06/19/03 - IP#: 67.75.200.xxx no offence but who are u that u know all this?? are u a health person or sumthin?? how old are u? why do u do this? are u sellin sumthin??
Reply from James to ??? - 06/19/03 - IP#: 64.151.22.xxx The advice is often the kind of advice that will land you in the hospital, with osteoporosis, arthritis, heart problems, etc, etc...the list goes on and on. So wouldn't it be wrong of me to *not* interfere when this so-called "advice" is hurting people? I know no one is TRYING to hurt each othere here, but misinformation has a way of spreading like wildfire.
Reply from ??? - 06/19/03 - IP#: 80.40.54.xxx im not meaning 2 b rude but people are giving other people advise on how they know how 2 lose weight so y interfear?
