you can do 50 in the morning and 50 at night or more. I always have my legs lifted and crossed in front of me my mom said if u do crunches with ur legs up u will feel it more and it helps me. so yeah want more info im me on aim at lilislander07 or email me at sweetie1855@msn.com

i think its alright to put your legs up... my friend said her uncle has to do that because of his back... i would do a couple of sets and gradually go up... you may have to do a "test". like you may want to do some crunches one day, and see the next day if you feel the tightness... if not do more that day... and so on and so on.... hope this helped... later..

I usually do 700-1000 crunches a day, but it all depends on the person. You might want to start out at about 100 and raise it slowly.
I was wondering, does anyne know how many calories a crunch burns?

a crunch for me is when your shoulder blade is off the ground... i heard if you go all the way up to your knees it could hurt your back in the long run. I do about 100-200 crunchs a day... not all at once... i would start off doing a few a day.. and work up to it.... you should feel it in the morning... if you don't feel your stomach tightening.. you may want to do more... hope this helped.... later
