Reply from Amelia, Age 14 - 08/05/03 - IP#: 172.165.79.xxx Dieting isn't necessarily the answer. Some people diet and then gain the weight right back. The best way to lose weight is to drink a lot of water, do some kind of physical exericse everyday and eat a good, balanced diet. I don't mean to sound like one of those health physician people telling you to look at the food pyramid because I can't stand that thing, but just think about what you need to eat and do to stay healthy. People, as a whole, know when they are eating things that aren't healthy. If you are someone who does not exercise at all, you don't need to eat as many carbs. Before going on a possibly hazardous diet, maybe you should see a nutritionist in order to find out some good tips of things to eat and how to stay in good health and feel good about yourself. Defintely do not resort to not eating at all because believe it or not, you will start eating again sometime and when you do, you will gain the weight right back because your metabolism won't be as fast anymore.
