Ht. 5'1", Today: 180 lb (BMI %tile: 98) - Hi.My name is Stephanie.I'm 13 years old.I have always been a little chubby, but until I started Middle School,I never really cared much.Then,the last couple of weeks of seventh grade, me and a couple of my friends made a home video for our english class.When we watched it in class, I was blown away.I was HUGE.I hadn't realized how big I really was.I stepped on a scale for the first time in my life and gasped at the number.180lbs.I am only about 5'1,so I knew this was not a healthy weight.I started to diet, but then slacked off,figuring "why bother?" Then,when I started eighth grade this year,all the girls had developed over the summer and had become really pretty.All the guys were whistling as they went by and going out with them.It really made me upset.I wanted a guy to whistle at me or ask me out.I'm also afraid of having heart problems or developing diabetes.Right now,I'm trying to cut down on portions. Not eat any sugary,processed foods. For the past couple of days, I've been running laps,doing cardio and yoga.Everytime I get on the scale,though,it shows a different number.One minute it will be 176,the next,183.What am I doing wrong? Lend me your support,please.I REALLY need it.All of my friends are smaller,and don't understand.THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Okay. I don't know if this would work for u, but my mom is on this diet and it has really helped. She lost 80 lbs sense March. Anyways her diet consists of like 6 small meals every 3 hours. The meals are like a cheese stick or a handfull of nuts or carrots of something and she drink a lot a lot of water. She also exercises every other day.and every two or three weeks she has a cheat day where she goes off her diet a little. If u want more information just e-mail me at jelliebean_1@hotmail.com

i have also figured out that if you don't like exercising you aren't going to do it,so find some kind of physical activity that you LIKE doing and do it.don't be afraid to try new things,you never know,you may find someting physical that you like doing.plus,keep in mind that muscle(please excuse my spelling LOL)weighs more then fat

I really understand how u feel. i see all those pretty girls and i basicly get jealous. but i shouldn't because thats wronge. i really want a boy to ask me out to. and i can really relate to whay ur going through. i weight 163lb and my goal is to reach 90-100 lb. i also hate exercising but i am so desprate so do a little experiment with me, dont eat ANY snacks at all including dessert for two weeks and exercise for at least ten min. a day i exercised for 15min today and see what happens . if ur weight deops stick with the diet. And after two weeks reward yourself with something sugary if u want to.good luck i will be right behind cuz i just stared this experiment today good luck and god bless.

u can also chew gum if u get a craving it helps me

Only go on the scales once a week. your weight varies throughout the day. also just to 3 normal meals a day, nothing to fatty. If you are hungry inbetween meals have a piece of fruit. hope this helps you.
