Its not true because lifting heavy weights will make you fatter on the scale and light weights will help but its all reppition. The arobic exercises will probably be better cause it works the little muscles along with the big ones. which makes you look skinier too.

Reply from anne, Age 16 - 11/17/03 - IP#: 216.66.108.xxx well acctually- you would lose weight faster by doing aerobics becasue when first starting weight lifting you're just building muscles and not burning a lot of calories and fat. eventually the muscles will burn more calories over all though becasue 1 pound of muscles, i've heard, burns 50 more calories a day. good luck!
