my workout buddy who is my best friend slows me down, she is out of breath when I want to keep on running and she gets mad if i run ahead, i dont wanna hurt her but i wanna get in shape! help!

Reply from anne, Age 16 - 12/03/03 - IP#: 216.66.108.xxx this sounds kind of decieving but split you workout into 1/3 and 2/3's. spend the one third of the time with her- maybe you guys could do weight lifting or something or just deal with the running till she gets better. use the other 2/3's to exersize by yourself and don't tell her. good luck!

Reply from Emily, Age 17 - 12/02/03 - IP#: 68.90.193.xxx When i was training for the Air Force Scholarship I had a friend that would walk with me. so what she would do is put a stick or something down say "go" and then keep walking. She would name out a tree ahead of her, and then i would have to run to the tree and then back to the stick to pick it up and run back to her so we could start it all over again. If it sounds confusing. it was. I felt like a little puupy fetching a stick. and since it was so stupid looking my friend didn't mind it cause she loves laughing at me (in a good way don't worry) So maybe try that. make a game out of it. also take Anne's advice. She's pretty good.
