I dont mean to be the Grinch or anything...but losing weight doesnt change who you are or how you feel about yourself. I think i learned that too late...

Reply from Katie, Age 17 - 01/02/04 - IP#: 195.93.33.xxx It makes you HEALTHIER - and i think thats the most important thing - I'm seriously overweight and im doing something about it because Im scared that i could develop type 2 diabetes or heart diesease. Yeah being thinner is also a factor - but personally I'm not going to let dieting take over my life, just have a healthier life so I can go out and have FUN!!!!!
Reply from Becca, Age 14 - 01/02/04 - IP#: 24.194.253.xxx If you dont have confidence in the first place, being thin wont make you more confident. As much as you think being thin will make everything better, it doesnt. Your just going to be the same person in a different body. Yes, you will feel better about yourself, but it doesnt change who you really are.
