ok my friend wrote this poem ( go to www.poetry.com and search {last name:love first name: sparkle and look at the poem) and its kinda scared me i wanted to know if you thought there was something wrong with her(she is 11!) could ya'll check it out and tell me what you think?? it's really scaring me. :.(

There are teachers in my school who have read my poetry and1) thought i copied it from someone else or 2)suggested I see a psychiatrist. One of them got really worried when she read a poem about a girl that cut her wrists and she thought it was about me but it isnt-i dedicated it to one of my friends who went through a time like the one i described. Poetry is one of the most free-stlye forms of writing. It is the easiest way to remove adn express feelings, she's going through all her hormonal changes right now adn it can get overwhelming.

Her body is going through a lot of changes right now and this is just how she feels. It is perfectly natural to want to be sexy at her age. I know 11 is young but some people just simply mature sooner than others. I for one sexually matured very very soon - in fact I believe I was 11 when I began to feel those hormones. You shouldn't fear that she may become sexually active too soon - I didn't. In her poem she said it was Her dirty Dream - so she is just dreaming right now. She probably has a crush on someone - if I had to guess I would say that person was slightly older than her (say about 2 or 3 years)- so she would feel more comfortable having sexual feelings towards them because in her mind they are more mature. I would talk to her if you have questions - but don't corner her because what she is feeling is natural. However I you should know that in SOME cases the child matures so fast because in either the past or present they have been abused - it may not be that in her case but it is always good to be on the look out.
