OK I understand that 800 calories a day is not healthy but I feel like if i dont really cut back then i wont lose weight at all. 1500 a day seems like alot and i'm tryin to lose at least 60-70 pounds.

considering the average diet is 2000 calories 1500 isnt tht high. if u wanted to go lower id go to bout 1400-1200. anything below tht or especially below 1000 is unhealthy and most likely ud gain weight back. but i u stick to the 1500 or whteva ull loose alot mayb just not right awy. i did and i have kept it off. good luck and dnt give up.

I work very hard to be the weight I am 9although I want to be thinner). I'm 5'6 at 126 lbs... but I really work at it. My mentabolism is very very VERY slow.. believe me. But I excersize 36 hrs a week (dancing 6 hrs 6 days a week) and I also do 160 sit-ups every morning. I suggest that you look at the portion sizes every meal. Many people don't realize it but most Americans over-eat portion sizes. For instance, if you are having mini-4-waffles for breakfast and you look at the calories it says 170 but if you look at the serving size it says 3/4 a waffle. Make sure you look at the serving sizes before you eat! It's a big help!
