Has anyone tried low carb and/or low fat diet and lost weight and kept it off.

Yes! Low-carb or good-carb diets do work, if u really stick to them! I tried the South Beach Diet for about 2 months and together I lost about 20 pounds.. All uhave to do is cut down on bad carbs like sugar and white flour, like bread, cake, pasta, rice and stuff. It does suck at first, but there are some realy good South Beach recipes available, and the good part is that u can eat as much as u want. And at the end of the first 2 weeks u don't even feel like eating candy or cake anymore, it was so weird. But definitely give it a try!

I was on Atkins for a couple of months. It worked very well and I lost 10-15 lbs. However, as soon as I left the diet I gained a lot of weight, very quickly. More than likely it was becuase I didn't re-introduce carbs into my diet slowly.
But overall, I would say low carb diets are very good.

Ive been on a low carb diet for a couple of weeks and already ive lost between 10-15lbs! I dunno how much of it is going to stay off, but im hoping it will!!!

Hey Quisha. I've been on a low carb diet, not lately though, and have lost 20lbs. I still have quite a ways to go but while I've been off (like the past three weeks) I haven't gained any weight. -V.

low fat/low calorie- sort of- and i've lost about 20 pounds so far but i've been pretty inconsistant about it. i still have 20 more pounds to go and i'm really determined now...my mother has lost a lot on low carb but she's not at her goal yet so i don't know if it will stay off...
