hiya, am new 2 this ppl! i live in the uk and i feel i realy need to loose weight. i weight about 180lbs, i no its alot. does anyone have any tips were i would see almost instant results because i give up very easily and i would like to loose 40lbs in about 6months if possible. i have tried dieting many times but have given up to easily. i think if i dont do something soon it could start to endanger my health. my friends are sticks so i cant talk to them so i have looked here for my advice! i would be realy grateful for any tips and replies, thanx xxx

Reply from amanda, Age 14 - 03/23/04 - IP#: 24.231.184.xxx yah i can tell you what worked for me but im not saying you should do it. i weighed 190 pounds last year. i am now at 120 and almost cry with happiness when i look in the mirror. for the past year i kept calorie intake from 500-600 everyday. i lost around a pound every 2 days. i dont care how many people tell u its unsafe, its more safe than being 180 pounds. when they say u have to eat 1200-1800 calories a day, they mean eat that much to prevent your metabolism from temporarily dropping. the most important thing is when sticking to a 500-600 calories a day plan all of the calories should be as healthy as possible!! no brownies!!!!!!! u can also take a multivitamin if u want. i didnt and im fine.
