if i go on the atkins diet and lose lets say about 10-15 lbs, then go off the diet, will i gain all of the weight back???

Yes..you will gain back if you eat like..anything you want afterwards..You just cant do that. I mean lets say you went on atkins..lost like a bunch of weight..when you were done would you honestly want to blow it all by eating a whole bunch of cake and cookies? I mean..a slice like once a week would be fine but everyone gains the weight back cuz they indulge afterwards. If you dont eat whatever you want afterwards and pig out..you wont gain it back..just the water weight like I said.. Remember..it takes 3500 calories to lose a pound..so it will also take 3500 to gain a pound. if you lose 5 pounds of fat on the Atkins diet and it says youve lost 9 .. the other 4 will most likely come back on but your fat loss will stay off if you eat right afterwards..like still do atkins when your done but add a lot of veggies and once in a while have a goodie..like cake or a cookie. ok I'm not telling you what to do but I don't want you to be discouraged by what everyone is saying.

I went on Atkins. Lost about 8lbs. Went off it for two weeks. Gained 15lbs. Why? Because my body craved sweets after 2 months of meat and cheese. My body was also unable to metabolize processed carbs after ATkins. My advice is if you're going to eat the Atkins way, stick to it. Good luck!

I think you might gain back a little bit of it cuz you lose a little water from not having carbs but not all of it..the fat that you lose will stay off..as long as you dont over eat
if you just eat normally the weight will stay off..stay active too though..its good for you..and dont worry once you go off it and stuff and you eat noramally..not overdoing it..the weight you put back on will be water weight
