Reply from Michelle, Age 16 - 05/24/04 - IP#: 24.83.221.xxx i'm a vegan/vegetarian (i haven't given up cheese and honey yet) and it's beneficial both morally and health-wise. Please don't go around saying stuff like it's unhealthy, or that it's better because it's filling. Well it may be filling, but it's certainly not healthy! Do you want me to list you the number of drugs and crap there are in meat? not to mention cholesterol and saturated fats..which probably makes you full. WWW.PETA.ORG

Reply from JS, Age 12 - 05/20/04 - IP#: 148.167.126.xxx ok, im vegan, and your really being rude. im an eithical vegan, and have become a raw vegan for purposes of health. ive been losing weight, and fresh food is very filling, much more nurtishonal than meat, and has far less caloies, and has no cholestrol. ive been losing weight also. so please, dont post stupid opinoins to try to influence people. maybe u should become more educated about vegetairan/veganism, becuase about 90-95% of vegans are thin. compare that number to the diet of omnis.
Reply from Kelsey, Age 13 - 05/20/04 - IP#: 69.163.36.xxx That wasnt the reason I went vegetarian, i did it for ethical reasons, many people do go veggie to loose weight though, even though meat "fills you up", it can include lots of bad cholesterol, and be very high in calories... You can get fiber and iron from lots of non-animal sources...
