Reply from Mandi, Age 17 - 05/28/04 - IP#: 24.8.61.xxx One thing you have to realize with the Atkins diet is that their slogan "Atkins for Life" is VERY VERY true. If you are serious about the Atkins diet you need to do more than just say no more carbs you need to read EVERYTHING you can about it because the Atkins diet is not a diet it is a way of life. I seriously think that when Dr. Atkins invented this diet he meant for people to live by it. Not just use it as a way to loose weight fast. If you want to live carb-free then you must have alot of self control. Its a known fact that if you have even so much as one carb your body can nto only gain back all the weight you have lost but also become sick. Just be careful..to all those atkin people out there..its a very strict very complicated diet. Know about it before you try it.

Reply from Mandi, Age 17 - 05/28/04 - IP#: 24.8.61.xxx one thing i have learned about the atkins is that the weight takes a looong time to come off..and all the meanwhile you seem to feel miserable (at least i know i did) i suggest you change your diet..after all even though diet is DIE with T it doesnt mean you should be miserable
Reply from anne, Age 17 - 05/28/04 - IP#: 216.66.96.xxx what mandi said is ridiculous. first of all you can have up to 20 carbs on the stkins diet and going one over WILL NOT make you gain all of the weight back. true- if you eat a lot then you will but that's true with any diet. you can burn off that one carb.
