Hey, my younger brother is 15, he's 5'9" and weighs 215 lbs. My parents never seem to care about what he is eating. He just comes home from school and raids the fridge. I always tell him to stop...think twice about what he is doing and then look down at his gut. When he was 14 he only weighed 140 lbs. but then he dislocated his knee and was in a cast for a long time...because he couldn't do anything he just sat on the couch and ate. but now he's taken it too far... he went from a 30 in jeans to a 38 and he complains that they are tight. I try to get him to do stuff like exercise and cut down on candy but he won't listen to me because im just his sister... please help me my brother's got a big gut and can wolf down alot of food and still be hungry!!

i know where you're coming from. my littel sister is 12 and she's around 170(which was around my highest weight)and she eats whole boxes of stuff abnd way to big of servings. she'll sit down and eat a whole box of cereal in one sitting. but talking like that and having that attitude towards your brother will just make it worse. befriend him and then try to help him a little but don't push it because it's ultimately his choice. ,maybe someday he'll come to you for help- my little sister just borrowed an exersize tape from me yesterday.

Well hey just telly you brother that he should think before he eats. Tell him do you want to lose this weight do you think you should? if he doesn't think so then maybe you should take it a step further like tell your parents " hey mom maybe you should help him out" or something. Be nice don't cause him depression or anything. Good luck
Lizzy

I'm sorry but I COMPLETLY dissagree with Vance, makeing him feel like sh*( for eating it will probably just make him upset and he'll just eat more. You should just have a mature conversation about it. Mabye talk to you parents about your concern. Good Luck. I wish him the best
