Hey everybody. I used to be very active playing all kinds of sports and stuff. But then I stopped doing as much and became 148lbs at 5'5. I am still very muscular and have a lot of strength so i dont look that bad. This summer I am gonna resume being as active as I used to be and will probably loose a lot of weight. My goal is to be 120-125 lbs by September 14 (when high school starts.) I went on this website where it tells you how many calories per day you are burning including your metabolic rate and the activities that you do. When I did it I got 6,500 calories per day! This is definately correct because I am gonna pretty much be doing something all day long like running swimming, tennis, tae bo, pilates, etc. I was wondering if it it safe to loose weight at a fast pace like this because I will be eating 2500 calories per day. So that equals to 8 pounds of weight loss per week. I know that sounds very dangerous, but is it really? I mean, I am gonna do it the right way and not starve myself??? Please help

clifford, where the HECK did u get your info. its not unhealthy to eat alot if you burn ALOT of caloires! and second of all, up to 2000 caloires or so is healthy for an average person,not up to 1500. for a person who works out alot, they can eat MUCH more than that. think normally! if a rock climber works out every day for 4 hours(burning 4000-5000cal) wont the person have to eat at least 3000 caloires?

JS that is too many cals a day even if she is burning a lot and eating that much is unsafe you should eat a max of 1500 cals a day and no less then 1200 cals a day but 3500 cals is way too much no matter how much u are burning and y r u talkin u only eat 400 cals a day JS and you said ur ana and anas arent pose to be on here so leave

you should be eating at least half of what your buring, try eating 3500 cal a day.

i read that it can be unsafe to burn more than 1000 calories a day.
