ok I'm definatly not going to turn anerexic**but for now I'm not eating breakfast just a small lunch then half of the dinner my mom makes....I'm not geting any snacks or anytihng no sgar..are there anytips of keeping to my diet? I've tryed posting skinny girls on the fridgebut I just tare them down!
Reply from JS, Age 12 - 06/23/04 - IP#: 148.167.56.xxx you people are kinda, out. ana isnt veiwed as a pycho problem by anorexics, most are capable people. and accully, one can deside to become anorexic, or go abck to anorexia after recovery. anorexia wont be diagnosed unless the person has been eating an "inadiqiute" amount of caloires, and fit the med-pycho diagnosing critera for at least 2 months.

Reply from anne, Age 17 - 06/23/04 - IP#: 216.66.107.xxx emily- don't use the word fag- i take great offense to that! and it could start off like that decision. i mean other's start off with that decision but it turns into a mental desease- they just don't know what to call it. but the point is either way- whatever you call it it's worse for your body and your weight loss. you will be permanently dropping your metabolism because the fiurst thing to go is the water, the second is your muscles and those muscles are what keep your body burning calories. this means that you either die because you don't want to gain the weight back or you start eating what your body needs and gain the weight back and have a worse time with it because now it will be mostly fat instead of the muscle and fat you have now. you need to eat better and not below 1200 cal.s and exersize and then you will be burning off the fat. this is not a good thing. not eating is not how our bodies were built- we need food!

Someone can be overweight and be anorexic, weight loss is an effect of it but overall it's psychological. Anyway, eating hardly anything can help you lose weight, but for most people it doesn't work. You will not be able to lose weight if you don't get enough nutrients, which you need from food. Even vitamins and supplements can't replace food. First off, breakfast truly is the most important meal of the day. A good breakfast raises your metabolism, and a boosted metabolism is what helps you to lose weight. Continuing to eat throughout the day, about every 3 hours, keeps your metabolism up. Protein is important to keep your energy going, but be careful not to eat too much because most foods that are high in protein are also high in fat. Fruits and vegetables are all low in fat and calories, high in essential nutrients and help us feel energized. They're also high in fiber, which fills you up so you eat less of other foods and lose more weight. Last, at least a couple of hours of moderate exercise every week helps to boost weight loss. One more thing, forget the pictures of the skinny girls! In the end, if you compare yourself to other people, you only feel bad about yourself, and you're beautiful! Successful weight loss and overall health starts with positive self-esteem.

Reply from Annie...one more thing, Age 14 - 06/22/04 - IP#: 66.30.249.xxx and btw, just eating alone and not exercising won't get u anywhere. exercise is key and even if u lose weight w/o exercise, its just water weight which means ur not losing fat, ur losing all water in ur body.

Reply from Annie, Age 14 - 06/22/04 - IP#: 66.30.249.xxx ok, if u were going to "turn anorexic" its not something u can decide. its a physcological problem and it doesn't happen over night. and neways ur going to gain all the weight back if u lose too fast or eat way smaller amounts then usual. so in the future, don't say "i'm gonna turn anorexic" because lots of ppl can take offense. ~annie
