Are energy bars healthy? Are the fruit ones better than the choclate ones? Even if they have more calories? Anyone know any good, lowfat brands?

p.s. and by the way the bar i have is a Advant Edge Sugar Free Perfection bar they have 3 flavors from what i saw (chocolate cream, chocolate crisp, and chocolate cararmel, im eating the choco crisp. They have 120 calories, 10g fat, 14 carbs (1 g impact carb), 0 sugar (yay!) and 2g protein. Not to mention im eating one now with my lunch and it is GOOD. Tastes just like a real candy bar. i think i've found something i like. Good luck with your search -mandi-

Girl i am JUST the person to ask about this because this morning before work i spend a good 20 minutes comparing calories with all the "health" bars and ya know what i found out? The chocolate ones are good but find the right brand, most of the "meal bars" are up in the 200's calorie wise and if you want a snack look for thinner and smaller bars. As for the fruit ones..i didnt even look because i was looking for something sweet to eat after lunch. I found a tiny bar that is about 120 and thats the lowest one i could find. If you really want more info i suggest you do the same thing i did just hang out in the healthy food aisle and browse the labels. If you still dont see something you like or think is healthy enough for your diet skip down to the "snack" aisle to where the granola bars are. But just remember the smaller the bar the less the calories.
