I WEIGHED 140 POUNDS AND WAS 5 FEET 4 IN MAY AND WAS JUST A LITTLE CHUBBY. NOW THAT ITS SUMMER AND REALLY HOT OUT I STAY INSIDE THE HOUSE AND EAT AND WATCH TV. I AM STILL 5 FEET 4 BUT NOW WEIGH 171 POUNDS AND AM GETTING A FAT STOMACH.MY SHIRTS ARE TIGHT AND I OUTGREW MY DUNGAREES. SINCE I'M AN ONLY CHILD I DONT HAVE MUCH TO DO.MY FATHER WEIGHS 180 POUNDS OR SO AND SAYS THAT MY WAIST IS BIGGER THAN HIS AND THAT I AM LOOKING LIKE A FAT PIG. I SAW MY FRIEND RECENTLY FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE SCHOOL ENDED AND HE SAID " WOW YOUR REALLY FAT" AND STARTED CALLING ME FATSO AND STUFF. I SLEPT OVER HIS HOUSE THAT NIGHT AND I CAUGHT HIM TAKING PICTURES OF MY FAT STOMACH TO SHOW HIS FRIENDS I WAS SO UPSET I RAN HOME AND HAVEN'T SEEN HIM SINCE. MEANWHILE I JUST KEEP EATING OUT OF BOREDOM AND DEPRESSION, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Reply from anne, Age 17 - 07/20/04 - IP#: 158.65.120.xxx stop eating as much! there are things you can do even if you're a kid. running and jumping and getting an exersize video or going out for walk/jogs aren't exclusively adult activities! you can do so many free things like jogging in place or dancing really fast to some great music. getting off the couch and being active. even if you don't have healthy foods around you can eat the healthiest you do have around and eat only a certain amount of calories. drink water instead of drinks with sodium and calories!!! just get up and change right now because the longer you wait to make changes in your life- the harder it will be to make them!!!!get up- go and do it now!!!!you can do it- it's all in your own willingness....

I dont know what to say about your father because my dad would never call me fat even if I was 300 pounds heavier. Tell him, to stop when he does! Try to exercise in the morning, that way it isnt too hot. Eat healthy, and try to eat your meals at the table instead of in front of the tv. Trust me it helps from overeating.
