does swimming help u lose wight and is any one on a swim team?

If you swim frequently i'm sure you will lose weight because as you gain muscle you will lose weight. I am on a swim team and from Oct.-Feb. we swim 2 days a week for 2 hrs. plus Saturdays at our meets. If you do decide to swim to get exercise, keep in mind that it will change your body. After 10 years of swimming I have extremely broad shoulders for my height (5'6).
