Reply from Sam, Age 15 - 08/14/04 - IP#: 12.108.100.xxx I know how you feel. I was a bulimic last summer. Thankfully the effects scared me enough to help me stop. If you cannot do it your self you need to go to a doctor or talk to someone. There are to many good things to do for yourself than pushing your fist down your throat. I eventually just got tired of throwing up. My e-mail is Selenafan@pa.net if you want to e-mail me. I would really like to help you.

Reply from Catherine, Age 15 - 08/14/04 - IP#: 67.168.60.xxx I saw this movie on Bulimia the other night, it is a true story about this runner who was Bulimic for most of her life. She would eat everything chips, everything, and one day she was in the bathroom and fainted. Her Husband found her and took her to the emergency room right away, and he asked him if she had anything heart problems, anything and he said no. The doctor ran tests and found out that she was Bulimic, and the doctor yelled at the husband. He had no idea, and they were married for 3 years. So I know how hard it is. But it saved her life because she got help, and it took her 2 years to get over it but she did, she went to a phyciatrist. The doctor found out because there was this thing that lines in your throat by your teeth and that was completely worn away. So, it may be hard, but you have got to tell your parents to take you to the doctor, or it could get a lot worse. I know how scary it can be to tell someone this, but if you want to get better and stop this is the only way to do it. Good Luck, and stay strong.

Reply from -----, Age 15 - 08/14/04 - IP#: 24.128.69.xxx why are you telling them to not tell their parents "vic" .. of course the parents need to know, maybe not right away but they should know as soon as possible. .. my advice to you marshall is to maybe go to your guidance counselor, they help with a lot of things and they will know what to do.
