Hi, I've been looking at this site for probably 1 1/2 years now, This is the first time I ever wrote on here. First of all, my name is Tyler, I just turned 14 years old. I am in the 8th grade and am fat. I checked the weight calculator and I have a 31.4 BMI, which is severely over weight. I just weighed myself and I weigh 206 pounds and I am 5 foot 8 inches tall. I NEED HELP!! I wear a L/XL shirt and I wear a size 36 in jeans, and that is the really baggy kind. When I wear dress pants 36's are tight. I really don't mind being fat, but I want a girlfriend and I want to be healthier. Almost all the pop I drink is diet. Actually, my stomach is 45 inches. I hate going shopping, especially for jeans. My mom always wants to see them but I won't let her. She wants me to pull up my shirt so she can see my waist, but even if they don't fit I tell her they do...(To see rest of message click here).

hello tyler! i don't think you should feel bad about yourself for being overweight. you said you were wanted to lose weight bc you wanted a girlfriend, but there are lots of gals who think fat guys are cute. im not fat, but all of my boyfriends have been fat, so you should just concentrate on making yourself happy and not worry about other people!

TYLER, I DO THE SAME THING, IM A GIRL GROWING UP IN A FAMILY WHERE MY BRO HAS A 6 PACK, MY SISS AND MOM COULD BE MODELS, AND I HATE IT ITS SO EMBARRASSSING GOING SHOPPING BECAUSE I HAVE TO GET SUCHA BIG SIZE, AND I HATE THE HOLIDAYS TOO, WHEN THEY GET ME THINGS AND THEY DONT FIT, I REALLY WANT PEOPLE TO NOTICE ME NOT FOR SEEING A FAT GIRL, BUT SEEING ME!!!I AM ABOUT 190 I WANT TO BE SMALL SOOO BAD AND GET GUYS TO NOTICE ME!!!WE SHOULD GO THREW THIS PROCESS TOGETHER,LIKE WEIGHT WATCHER PALS!!!OK?

try not to drink pop. All pop is bad for u. Even if it is diet. Both diet and not diet have a lot of sodium in it. So don't drink it. OK?

Tyler, i DEFINENTLY know how you feel. I'm 5'6 at 226 pounds! thats 20lbs more than u. my wasist is 52 inches. My pant size is 50. and my shirts r XXXL's. I have stretch marks all over and i cant stop eating. when i see food i just eat it. you should try going in the blubber busters chatroom for teens.its making me feel better about my weight.my bmi is 36.23 and it says im way obese. my pants are 18 sizes BIGGER than my dads. I was just at a kmart w/ my cousin and he intrduced me as his "little cousin" and she said "WOW, how can that be, he is bigger than you"? and she didnt mean by height. that was embarassing. my cousin is 7 years older than me too. you said your gut hangs over, not as much as mine. i have 20 lbs more of fat in my gut that hangs over my pant line. before i go, i want to say one more thing. the good thing about being fat like u and me is that we dont get cold easily, we cant feel the cold through our fat. bye.

first of all, yes you are overweight but not as much as you feel. men's bmi's are supposed to be larger than womens- therefore a male at 5'8" would never get down to 135- it would look extremely unhealthy. instead a goal of 150 or 160 with a toned body would be very reasonable and you'd look great. secondly, you don't have to go to mcdonalds to be overeating or eating unhealthy- even when you were going to eat half a pizza that was really bad because you should only be eating a slice and then maybe something healthier along with it. you should eat less junk food and more fruits amnd veggies- try to eat around 1600-1800 calories(men also need more calories because of thier extra lean body mass they naturally have). drink water instead of juice and watch your sodium intake. don't try to diet an exersize at the same time at first- just give yourself a couple weeks of good eating anf then try to add in some exersize- everyone needs it to be healthy- not just big people! i know you hate exersize and trust me- for some reason i still talk myself out of it a lot, but once you're finished you feel really acomplished and also after doing cardio you get what people refer to as runners high where your body realeases endorphins and it makes you feel relaxed and good and just makes you smile. well, good luck- i know it's hard- i'm still not down to my goal weight and i'm contantly struggling but i know in the end it will be worth it and i will get there- and so will you!
