hey y'all,hope ur all good.anyway i kinda need some advice.you see iv bin eatin healthily and i weighed myself yesterday and found that i have lost 5 pounds.but i have a bit of a confession.i started school agin this week and im always hungry when i come home from school.i thought maybe its cos i do quite a few sport.Heres what i have every week.monday-football(1hour),tuesday-netball(1hour)and p.e (we're doin basketball it lasts 1hour 20 mins),wednesday-school basketball club(1 hour)and kickboxin(3 hours),thursday p.e again(1hour 20mins),friday-core p.e.(volleyball 1hour 20 mins)and saturday basketball trainin 3 hours.what im wantin to kno is if i eat more than 1200-1500 calories,will i put on weight??Amal

im actually 14,im amal's best friend(we're exactly the same age and iv known her all my life).im over at hers,cos we're revisin for a maths test(on the straight line).thought i'd jus say that incase you thought it was weird that we've both got the same number code thingy when we posted.bye

no, just keep it under 2000 and you should still be losing weight with all of that exersize!

hey,im from the uk so when i said football i meant like soccer,jus thought id mention that.Anyway thanx for the advice you guys. iv always done quite a few sports, so that does not feel like a lot(to me).anyway, i have a sleepin problem(which i inherited from my dads side of the family),i can only like sleep for 2-3 hours usually.i try to sleep for longer but i jus cant.iv gone to my doctors about it and my school nurse but they said that its not bad,cos i dont feel tired during the day.my school nurse told me i should be more active and start more sports,i doubt that'll work.i think i already do enough sports.Plus,one thing iv learnt about my school nurse is she does not kno hardly anything about health.one time she thought i was anorexic jus cos one of my best friends is.can you beleive that?!?!?well thanx for the help kristy and taylor!oh taylor does pilates help weight loss,cos my mum does it,jus with the winsor pilates video,and she said i should try it,but it jus seems so boring.Amal

I'D SAY SINCE YOUR DOING A BUNCH OF EXCERSIZING ,YOU CAN EAT THE AMOUNT OF FOOD THAT U WANT.JUST MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT OVER EAT.EAT UNTILL YOUR STOMACH IS FULL,DONT OVER EAT AND DNT EAT WHEN YOUR NOT HUNGRY

It sounds like you're doing TONS of exercising, and not enough eating. One thing that I've found is this: If you exercise regularly and eat untill you're satisfied at meals, you'll be fine. And try to eat a snack efore practice. If you really exercise as much as you do, you should be able to eat about 2000-2200 calories a day. When I played volleyball in the summer and fall, I had two practices a week and two games a week. I did pilates, and I found that I could eat WHATEVER, just as long as I didn't stuff myself.
