Okay, how long does "water weight" actually stay in your body? like i just drank a 64oz diet mountain dew.. and gained like 5 lbs lol i know its water weight but how long til that stuff goes away so i know how much i actually gained/ lost over the weekend!?! I'm really mad i think i gained 3 lbs at least but i just had lots of 94% free popcorn before bed both nights thats like the only change .. i dont see how that could make me gain but yeah help!!

Reply from Hayley, Age 15 - 01/24/05 - IP#: 64.172.59.xxx If you're having popcorn before bed and then weighing yourself in the morning, there's your problem. I'm sure the popcorn isn't making you gain, but popcorn contains LOTS of sodium, and it makes you retain water, just like soda. The day before you weigh yourself, try to avoid fried food, Chinese food, popcorn, frozen meals, sodas, canned soups, and salty snacks, because all of those things make you retain water.
