ok, this is something that has been bothering me--- once i get down to my goal weight, will i be able to fit into a size 6? right now i float between 14 and 10. Im pretty tall, 5'9" and i dont have that flimsy little figure like a model.. obviously, cuz im overweight. BUT how do i tell? hmm.. im being vague. What is mean is--is there a way to tell if you are big boned? Like, really big ppl have wittled down to size 1-- while others are just "big boned" and wont get there. Am i making any sense? Please reply if i am...
Reply from kathryn, Age 17 - 02/04/05 - IP#: 84.160.128.xxx Ok, i see what you mean, Elizabeth, about being able to see it when you look in the mirror, BUT, before you my mom got a bit heavier, she was one of those "flimsy" people. Shes 5'8" and in pictures i see of her she was really one of those people who "they" say could wear anything. Now i could never even imagine her that way. Shes i guess what they call shapely. But looking at her, i cant see the "thin girl inside", so how can i see if i have one or not?
Reply from Elizabeth, Age 21 - 02/03/05 - IP#: 209.172.247.xxx As a nurse I can tell you that the wrist thing is bogus. It is possible to be a small boned person who is just so overweight that you can't get your fingers around the wrist. Or Maybe a really big boned person who has long fingers. The only way to really tell is to get a body fat/lean tissue analysis to see what body structure you have. You can tell by looking at yourself if you are large framed or not...and if you are 5'9 my guess is that you would look good as a solid size 8. But then again, I don't know you. People who are as tall as we are will never look good as a size one, even if they can get down to it!

Im not sure about the right vs. left hand thing, but i'd assume if you can touch on either hand, no matter which one, than thats your bone frame. anything else you wanna ask, just ask!!! hope i helped again! :)
Reply from kathryn, Age 17 - 02/03/05 - IP#: 84.160.148.xxx To Katherine! Yes, you helped a lot! thanks, but now i have more questions! Ok, my pointerfinger and thumb touch, but only if i squeeze my wrist a little bit. Does that make a difference? And i have to squeeze more when i do it on my right wrist vs on my left wrist. Does any of this make a difference? I know im obsessing over this, but im curious!
Reply from Katherine, Age 15 - 02/03/05 - IP#: 68.100.185.xxx yes, u make sense. There is a way to tell your bone frame. take your pointer finger and your thumb and put them around ur wrist. if they touch, like overlap, then you have a small bone frame. if they touch but don't overlap, then you are medium sized, and if they don't touch, than you have a large bone frame... Hope i helped!!!
