One of the main componants (sp) of anorexia is the hiding of it. The not trusting anyone thing. But one thing that alot of these pro-ana sites are promoting is that all girls who are anorexic wear a red beaded bracelet. So its basically to tell teh world your an ana and proud of it. Isnt that a totally contradiction?

It may also be that just not that many people wear one, and its just certain groups or something. Part of the disease is hiding it - so yeah, it contridicts. *Ray*Ray*

Most people who are not anorexic don't know the symbol, so I guess the anas feel safe wearing it. But just because somebody is wearing a red bracelet does not mean they are anorexic. Heck, I'm wearing one right now and I'm far from being ana.
