im 180 pounds. I feel like a hippo. I am a hippo ! I try to lose weight but my mind takes over when I see food ! I wish you could just snap your fingers and be at your goal weight...if you can help me plz do! thanx.
Reply from Marylin, Age 14 - 03/17/05 - IP#: 4.238.23.xxx Okay this is what I did, when I was dieting, I ate 1200 calories a day, on mondays-fridays i was a vegitarian, on weekands i only had like 3 servings of meat! I completely gave up soda! I ate 2 servings more of veggies and fruits a day, and i drunk a lot of water. also, I gave up a lot of fast food and I wouldnt eat anything normal, i mean EVERYTHING had to be low fat! Plus I excersised for 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week and guess what? I lost about 60 pounds in like 4 months, I did so good and I am proud of myself, If I did it. you can do it to, and dont drink artificial flavored juice, drink nautral flavored, unsweetened apple juice! It really works!

You just have to have a good attitude a/b yourself or you will just tell yourself that you deserve to be overweight, and no one does! Just eat healthier foods such as fruits and vegetables instead of cake and pie (I just had a piece of pie though, woops!). But, other than that I have been good lately. Exercise for 30 min a day for the first few months and then step it up to 60 min a day and more if you want to a few months after that. I started to lose weight at the very beginning of last year and now I go to the gym like every other day for an hour and a half, and I am going to get winsor pilates to step the weight loss up. GOOD LUCK, DON'T GIVE UP OR GO ON A FAD DIET, THEY DO NOT WORK!!!
