- If you drink a lot of fluids can u gain water weight? Just wondering..cus my weight has been fluctuating like crazy..
Reply from Christina, Age 16 - 04/20/05 - IP#: 24.233.69.xxx If your weight fluctuates a lot, that means u weigh yourself too much. Drinking lots of water and then weighing yourself everyday can mess you up. It can say you gained 2 lbs, or lost 2 lbs. Its the water and by weighing yourself once a week, everything distrubutes out. If you dont weigh yourself a lot, then mabye your diet is a bit unbalanced. But dont worry, you'll be fine!
Reply from Helen, Age 15 - 04/20/05 - IP#: 68.154.36.xxx the only weight you gain from water is the weight in which you drink it...say if you drank an ounce of water the scale would come up and say you gained an ounce but that doesnt mean its permanent because by the time the morning comes and you have been to the bathroom plenty it would have been gone..so technically yes you gain weight but no its not gonna stay!
Reply from Kathryn, Age 17 - 04/20/05 - IP#: 212.184.12.xxx nope- drinking more water actually helps keep OFF water weight cuz your body isnt trying to conserve water, cuz its getting plenty.
Reply from Katie, Age 15 - 04/19/05 - IP#: 209.112.213.xxx No, in fact, you should be drinking half of your body weight in ounces to be healthy. You won't put on weight from water.
