- Can you lose pounds slower after you lose a certain amount? So far I lost about 47 pounds in about 7 months . .and now I'm losing weight a lil slower than usual. Is this normal? Is this because i'm getting closer to my ideal weight? please help

It sounds like you are starting to hit your "platue" (sp). Not completely, but sorta. IF you continue the same exercise and diet for a long time, like over two months, then your body gets accustomed to it, and re-aranges itself, so to speak, to iccorporate what you do, so that you no longer lose weight. You have to mix it up a little bit. Change routines, exercise longer, or more often, drink more water. Whatever you want- just different. And GREAT JOB so far!! As long as you keep up the good work, it will pay off!

It's normal. When I was losing weight in 8th grade, I got stuck at around 124 and it was hard to lose anymore. You're body is just adapting... that's why you lose weight in the first place. Since your body needs less energy to run, it doesn't need to take from your fat reserves as often.

It's perfectly normal to lose weight slower after you have lost a certain amount. This is because the body fat comes off faster when you have more of it. So in other words, you are probably pretty close to getting toward your ideal weight. Just keep up the effort and don't give up! It will definately pay off when you reach your goal weight.
