hi i am 5'4" and weigh 304-309 i am mortibaly obese, my doc says that if i dont lose 20 pounds in like 2 monthes i will probably have diabetes 2. I am really scared and fat. And i know that i cant lose that much weight and will have to get used 2 diabetes 2. He also said that i have a lot of fat clogging my arteries and i could have a heart attack, then the last thing he said to me was if u dont lose at least 20 pounds in the next 2 monthes i will have ur parents send u away to a camp/school that is for obese people,which means i wouldnt be with my friends or family. It sucks so please give me some fun easy workouts, thanks

Reply from elise, Age 13 - 05/08/05 - IP#: 67.176.247.xxx first, you should really try eating fruits and veggies and healthy dairy like non- fat milk. next, stay away from really carbie foods like bread b cuz they make u want to eat more. some workouts u can do r like runnin on the treadmil for 15 minutez a day to an hour a day. drink lotza water, and stay away from pop and juice.(dont ask how i no all this, my dad made me look it all up) try to not eat snacks all week and if you must have dessert eat lowfat or nonfat ice cream under 4 grams of fat. don't eat cake, it will make u hungrier. if ur craving food, eat celery or strawberries. for a day, do something like this: breakfast: 10 strawberries and non fat milk lunch: yogurt, 2 slices meat(not salami, bolonga, pepperoni, or ham.) and carrots. snack:(if you must)celery dinner: broccoli, grapes, low serving of whatever you'd normally have, and water. if you get hungry after you clear your plate, eat more broccoli and drink water. if you're still hungry, then drink more water. if you're still hungry, then relax for a litle bit and do something to take your mind off of it like reading. that's how you train your body to eat smaller servings. you should wait half an hour and then do an excersize activity like the treadmil, bike, or take a jog/walk for half an hour. if you do the exercising at night, then gradually make your way up to an hour a night. If you did that for a week, i bet you'd lose four to eight pounds. i did that my first week and lost 5.6 pounds. i've been doing it for four weeks and have already lost eleven and one fourth pounds.( i also have a risk for diabetis, not that bad of one, but it runs in my family.)

Reply from Lisa, Age 15 - 05/08/05 - IP#: 71.36.194.xxx try and lose as much weight as you can, cut all your food portions in half drink diet pop or water, have skim or 1%milk instead of drinking fruits eat them, do 30 minutes at the least of sometype of activity walking, running, biking, dancing, etc. if you lose ten pounds and the doctor still wants to send you to camp tell him you worked really hard and have managed to lose weight and know you can lose the rest.
