alright..is anyone like a pro-ish runner here? Well i run track and after i run my shins hurt. I think i have shin splints. I'm really scared cuz i no that if they get really bad it is possible that u could never run again. Should i go to a doctor? Does any 1 hav good advice? help!!
Reply from Michelle <3 - 05/19/05 - IP#: 206.148.117.xxx Stretch your calves EVERYDAY! Shin splints are caused by tiny fractures in the bones in your shins which are supported by your calf muslces. When they're tight, they aren't able to do their jobs so must stretch them everyday and ice your shins! good luck! <3

Reply from Melissa, Age 15 - 05/19/05 - IP#: 68.73.11.xxx i had shin spilts when i satrets soccer cause we had to do alot of conditioning which inculdign liek runnign ALOT i had them for awhile but i think its just the reaction yoru body gets to alot of stress just put on all at once just take sum iboprofen and it will get better
