Hey I'm a 5' 3" male and I am trying to lose 25 pounds. I am currently at 150, and I want to get down to about 125. Do you guys think 125 is a healthy weight for a 17 year old male who is 5' 3"? I am built pretty small, so I was even thinking of getting down to 120. I would like to lose most of this weight over the summer, and by posting my weight periodically I hope that I can keep on track with losing the weight!

I'm not really sure if you're allowed to post this on the board or not. Make sure you read the "Bulletin Board Rules/Cautions" before you make your posts. You wouldn't want them to be taken off the board :). But anyway, 125...Hm. Maybe you should shoot for 135 first? That's a normal weight. But also, depending on your exercise or build, muscle does weight more than fat. You could be a short frame with muscle, and weight a lot. So, it's tough to put a number on it. Also, you said you're short...not to get your hopes up, but you could still be growing. We're not done with maturing for a couple more years, even if we are at the end of our teens. This is also the time when we gain muscle the fastest and are able to loose weight the quickest. Good news for us! Good luck with everything, and make sure you read the rules! Hope I helped. :) ~Miss K
