Hey guys. Well I was just wondering (and this question has probably been asked about 1000 times but..) if anybody who has done pilates likes it and thinks that it works good. Also, does pilates count as cardio exercise? Thanks!

Reply from sami, Age 17 - 06/09/05 - IP#: 70.32.223.xxx i do pilates everyday.. i have the winsor pilates dvds.. there not really cardio.. i do an extra 30 minutes of cardio on top of the pilates.. it kinda of like weight training where you need to lose fat before you see the muscle defintion.. winsor pilates has a new video out and its a cardio pilates.. which is just faster pased mine is in the mail right now i cant wait to get it.. but i do love the pilates they make you feel so much better and relaxed.. its hard work... but well worth it.. any more questions just ask<3

I read that pilates concentrates on the "core" of your body and helps you become better at everything else. Your posture becomes better, you can run further, etc. I don't know much else, but it seems worth a shot. Good luck. :hugs: ~Miss K

Reply from abby, Age 13 - 06/09/05 - IP#: 24.14.167.xxx i have a polates video and for me its kinda hard. and of course it doesn't help that there are these super skinny girls doing polates on the video, but anyway, i dont do it that often, but i am hoping to do it more this summer. im sure it works, it just doen't work that much for me(but thats just me, everybody's different) you should try it, you never know how it'll work for you
